About Your Guide
Theresa Byrne
Reaching the center of my life around age 40, I began to take stock. From the outside, I had all the ingredients for a so-called ‘successful’ life: two young and healthy kids, a loving husband at the top of his career, a beautiful house, and a stable, corporate healthcare job. But even if others couldn’t see the cracks, I certainly could feel them.
How I was living my life, felt out of alignment in many ways, ways that I didn’t fully have words for at the time. The operating system installed during childhood was now failing me as an adult. As a young child, I experienced sexual abuse that was hidden away, and as an adolescent, I was enmeshed in a volatile, sometimes violent, family dynamic. My solution to that instability was to achieve perfection, believing it would bring connection and love. If only I was “good enough”, then I would attain the love I craved. I was top of my class, high school valedictorian, and off to the ivy leagues. I was a decorated athlete, a compliant and easy-going daughter, friend, student, and teammate. In becoming this ‘perfect’ person, I made my life impossible. With the clarity of retrospect and growth, I now realize the many ways I abandoned myself.
Seeking control, I treated my body as a tool to be bent to my will. Bulimia became my way to exercise control, entering a cycle of bingeing and purging. I lost control, finding myself in the grips of bulimia for over 17 years, with only one person ever knowing. This led to avoiding commitment to friends, family, lovers, and most of all, myself.
Shame, guilt, lack of self-worth, and disconnection from my body took firm root.
Only when I became pregnant with my first daughter did I stop bingeing and purging, though the underlying issues remained. Desperately needing a pattern disrupt, I found crucial internal support from plant medicine. My journey has shown me the power of plant medicine as a tool for profound healing and transformation, and, most importantly, connection. Having learned and transmuted innumerable lessons from my past, my purpose is to support others in uncovering the root causes of their pain and disconnection, pointing them towards greater self-awareness and peace.
As a loving guide, I provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their inner landscapes and reconnect with their true selves. Through my work, I help clients cultivate clarity, presence, embodiment, and expansion. By fostering clarity, we uncover the patterns and beliefs that no longer serve them, allowing them to live authentically. Developing presence enables clients to fully engage in their lives, appreciating each moment with mindfulness and gratitude. Encouraging embodiment helps them move through the world with confidence, grounded in their physical and emotional well-being. Finally, nurturing expansion allows them to tap into their interconnectedness and intuition, empowering them to flow with the greater fabric of life.

What is a Holon Spirit?
The concept of a "holon" originates from the work of Arthur Koestler, who introduced the term in his book The Ghost in the Machine in 1967. A holon is something that is simultaneously a whole and a part of a larger system. It's an idea that tries to capture the interconnectedness of things, where every entity is both an independent whole and a dependent part of something greater.
A "holon spirit," is the idea that the spirit, or soul, is both a distinct, individual entity and also an integral part of a larger, universal consciousness. There is an interconnectedness of all beings and the individual consciousness is both unique and part of a collective, universal spirit.
In my work, a holon spirit is the journey of recognizing and embracing one's unique identity and true, authentic purpose while also understanding and integrating with the broader, interconnected web of life. It reflects the movement from duality—seeing oneself as separate—to oneness, where your spirit is seen as part of a larger, unified whole. Acceptance of self, belonging, spiritual growth, a deep healing comes from recognizing our interconnectedness with all things
